A welcome return to the mediaeval town of Rouen the original capital of France and seat of the French Kings of old. Also the region which inspired Monet’s paintings and now has the Monet Gardens which are well worth a visit.
We begin on Saturday with an afternoon route through the Somme valley and beyond Amiens to Forges les Eaux taking in the twisting country roads to our hotel in Rouen itself.
Sunday has a wonderful route through the many forests surrounding Rouen once hunted in by the Kings of France and now it’s your chance to hunt for Marshals in the trees around Lyons le Foret and of course the Forest of Robert the Devil.
A return to the hotel for the evening and the inclusive prize giving dinner before heading home on Monday, via the Monet Gardens if you wish.
