Champagne and Beaujolais still to go!
The ever popular Champagne rally is already up to 54 entries, with only 56 hotel rooms available at the lakeside hotel you need to get your entry in now not to be disappointed. Remember this great value rally includes both nights evening meal with a bottle of bubbly to wash it down on Sunday evening.

This is a lovely area which is usually overlooked by tourism but has a tremendous amount of twisting country roads, most heavily wooded and delightful French villages tucked away in the champagne fields.

The Beaujolais Rally Drivers Ball is our end of year party where everyone can come along and after a weekend of rallying can let their hair down with a disco and dance fuelled by this years Beaujolais Nouveau!

Once again we stay at the magnificent Hermitage in Montreuil where they always take really good care of us, good food, fine wine and excellent company- come and celebrate the Autumn before tucking your car up for winter.

To enter either of these events you can use the online booking form at www.classicrallytours.com or download an entry form and post it in.

Hope to see you in the Autumn-

Where Eagles Dare
I have just returned from the Picos where Robert and I have run through the route, what a beautiful area to drive a classic car. Robert was a great help and his Spanish was excellent, he has arranged some cracking lunch and coffee halts and we expect a very warm welcome from our hosts, many of who have classics themselves. The Spanish Classic Association will be out in force too we hope so expect to see plenty of fellow classic owners on route.

The scenery changed dramatically from long valley roads, high cloud covered mountains and open plains of lake beds. We even found some dinosaurs!
I was amazed to find so many ancient castles and villages which are in perfect condition. The final day across the Pyrenees gave us a memory to bring home when three huge Golden Eagles swooped across the road in front of us checking out some new lambs in the pasture below.

The entry list is now standing at 38 so it looks like we will have a really good group to enjoy the fantastic Parador hotels with us. The route itself visits some really different areas with one regularity absolutely crowded with Stork nests on poles, the road itself felt almost like a Devon lane and very un-Spanish. However other towns and villages are so Spanish feeling that you expect to see Don Quixote around every corner.

We have now concluded our dealings with the Spanish and French authorities and everything is in place for a really great week of motor sport, socialising and stunning scenery. Although we have confirmed the hotels we can always fit a few more on so if you are still looking for a wonderful adventure holiday to take in the late summer then do join us. Everyone is welcome whatever your past rally experience.

Picos to Pyrenees here we come!
